Rainfall rate problem
#1

Hi Werl_AG,

I seem to be having a problem with my displayed rainfall rate since going online this morning. It is raining here, but not that heavy Wink

Any idea how to diagnose the problem?

See the Rainfall rate chart here: http://www.users.on.net/~cond/weather/trends.php

Your Rainfall Today chart seems right, but the RainFall rate is really too high. May be a bug, I will try to investigate this.

Are you using the Fine Offset Rain Gauge?

I'll take a look at the code... say something later.

No rush, my weather data is all screwed by using the Ws3081 anyway, and will require a big clean up sometime in the future.

A fast look into the code tells me that it's probably a problem with the rainfall rate inplementation when in VP2 mode. Give me some time to check.

Here's my station setting, just incase I've got something set wrong there.

It's not a bug, it's an error... was easy to find it, we will see whether it will be so easy to fix.

Looking at the graphs in your station, looks like the quick fix I sent you solved the problem. I hope so Smile
This correction will be included in next software release.

By the way, in your Cumulus config, you may disable Use data logger.
If you wish, you may also disable Calculate 10-min wind average. Wind speed reported by WeatherDuino Pro2 already is a running average of the last 10 minutes.

Thanks Werk_AG, I've now done that.
